On Thursday, a lift crashed in a building numbered 145 at Aziziya near Jamia Bin Mehfooz. Many Indian pilgrims on Hajj were injured. Official news is not yet available; however, individuals who witnessed it claim that some may have died and others are hurt, but we don’t know how bad it is yet.

2: Abdul Latif (Age: 70)

The Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia tweeted, calling for aid for the pilgrims “@hajmission please urgently look in to the matter and provide all assistance to the pilgrims.”

Regrettably such incidents of this nature have occurred before. This shows that there is a need for more security during Hajj as indicated by 2015 stampede in Mina where over 2000 people lost their lives.
