THE SEQUENCE OF HAJJ AL-TAMATTU
|
The first House (of worship) appointed for men was that at Bakka: Full of blessing and of guidance for all the Worlds. In it are Signs Manifest; The Station of Abraham; Whoever enters it attains security; Pilgrimage thereto is a duty men owe to Allah, --- Those who can afford the journey; but if any deny faith, Allah stands not In need of any of His creatures ( Al Imran 96,97 )

3. GOING TO MINA |
| • |
Clean yourself (Ghusl). |
| • |
Wear Ihram garments. |
| • |
Make intention for Umrah. |
| • |
Recite Talbeyah. |
| • |
Avoid forbidden acts of Ihram. |

| • |
Make Tawaf around the Kaba 7 times. |
| • |
Pray 2 Rakah behind Maqam Ibrahim. |
| • |
Make Sa`l between Safa & Marwah 7 times. |
| • |
Trim hair and remove Ihram. |
|
Noon, the 8th D`al Hajjah.
| • |
Put on Ihram again. |
| • |
Make intention for Hajj. |
| • |
Remain in Mina during the Tarwiah day & perform 5 prayers starting from Dhuhr & ending with Fajr on the day of Arafat. |

6. PROCEED TO MINA |
Morning, the 9th D`al Hajjah.

Leave for Arafat in the morning & stay until sunset. |
| • |
Glorify Allah, repeat supplication, repent and ask for forgiveness. |
| • |
Pray Dhuhr and Asr shortened & combined during the time of Dhuhr. |
| • |
Listen to the Qutbah of AJ-Hajj. |

After Sunset, the 9th D`al Hajjaj.
| • |
Leave for Muzdalifah soon after sunset. |
| • |
Perform the Maghrib and Isha prayers combined (Isha is shortened to 2 Rakah). |
| • |
Stay overnight and perform Fajr prayer. |
| • |
Collect 49 small pebbles for Rami Jambrat. |

Sunrise, the 10th of D`al Hajjah
| • |
Shortly before sunrise leave Muzdalifah for Mina. |
| • |
Go to Jammarat Al-Aqabah & stone it with 7 pebbles. |
| • |
Slaughter your sacrifice. |
| • |
Shave your head off or trim your hair. |
| • |
Take off Ihram and dress in regular clothes. |
| • |
All Ihram restrictions are lifted, except intimacy with spouse. |

| 7. TAWAF AL IFADAH |
8. RETURN TO MINA |
9. FAREWELL TAWAF |
The 10th D`al Hajjah or after
| • |
Make Tawaf Al Ifadah. |
| • |
Make Sa`l between Safe and Marwah. |
| • |
After Tawaf Al-Hadah All Ibram restrictions are lifted. |

The 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th
| • |
Spend the Tashreeq days in Mina. |
| • |
After Dhuhr of each day, stone the three Jamarat, starting from small and ending with Al-Aqbah. |
| • |
You may leave on the 12th, after stoning the Jamarat, if you wish, before sunset. |

After the 13th D`al Hajjah or Whenever you are leaving Makkah.
| • |
Go to Makkah and make a farewell Travel. |
| • |
Perform 2 Rakah of Rawaf. |
| • |
Let the Tawaf be the last thing you do in Makkah. |
